All Provisional Motorcycle & Moped Licence holders who wish to ride on the public road must first complete Compulsory Basic Training.
The course has been devised by the Driving Standards Agency to enable the learner motorcyclist to build necessary skills before riding unaccompanied on a learner legal machine.
Once all elements have been completed to the level of ability required, the learner is issued with a certificate of completion, which is valid for a period of two years.
Those who passed a car test before 1st Feb 2001 are automatically granted a full moped licence and can ride a machine less than 50cc without CBT
You do not have to take a CBT if · you hold a full moped licence obtained from passing a moped test after 1/12/90
· You hold a full motorcycle licence for one category and wish to upgrade to another |
